LATEST NEWS: The New Jersey Supreme Court has vacated the conviction of Danny Lazo. Acting as designated counsel, Ernest represented Danny Lazo on appeal and was responsible for drafting the appellate brief and the Petition for Certification. Approximately 1,400 petitions are filed yearly, but less than 5% are accepted for review. The full text of the Court's opinion can be found online HERE.

Before opening my practice, I acted as a consultant on complex litigation and served as union president for the Shore Legal Services Workers during contract negotiations. However, it was only during my time as a senior staff attorney for Ocean/Monmouth Legal Services - an organization that provides free civil legal assitance to low-income individuals - that my eyes were opened to what's wrong with the practice of law today.
